TAWHEED
Tawheed means belief in one unique God. Tawheed (Monotheism) is Oneness and Uniqueness of ALLAH, and it comes from the Arabic verb "wahhada" which itself means to unite, unify or consolidate. However, when the term Tawheed is used in reference to ALLAH, it means the realizing and maintaining of ALLAH's unity in all of man's actions which directly or indirectly relate to Him.CATEGORIES OF TAWHEED

1. Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah: Tawheed ar Ruboobiyah means having the firm belief that ALLAH alone is the Lord and Owner of all things. He does not have any partners. He alone is the Creator, the Planner of this universe, the one who brings about changes in it. It also means having the firm belief that ALLAH alone is the Creator of all human beings, He alone provides them sustenance, He gives them life and death.

" If indeed thou ask them (the disbelievers) who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to His Law)?; they will certainly reply "ALLAH." How are they then deluded away (from the Truth)?"
(QURAN 29:61)
2. Tawheed al-Ibaadah: Tawheed al Ibaadah is to single-out ALLAH alone for all worship and not to worship anything along with Him, whether it be an angel, a Messenger, a Prophet, a pious person, a tree, a stone, the sun, the moon, the stars or other than these, such as money or one's desires.

"And your Lord is one Lord, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful"
(Surah Bakrah 2:163)
3. Tawheed al-Asmaa-was-sifaat: Tawheed al-Asmaa was-sifaat is maintaining the unity of ALLAH's name and attributes. ALLAH may only be described with the names and attributes of perfection which have mentioned by ALLAH and His MESSENGER ï·º.

“… There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.”
(Surah as Shooara: 11) .
This category is divided into four aspects:-
1. ALLAH should be referred to as described by Him and His MESSENGER ï·º.
2. ALLAH must be referred to as He has referred to Himself.
3. ALLAH has referred to without giving Him the attributes of His creation.
4. ALLAH's name cannot be given to his creatures.
These obligations provide the framework of a Muslim's life, and weaves their everyday activities and their beliefs into a single cloth of religious devotion.
No matter how sincerely a person may believe, Islam regards it as pointless life without putting that faith into action & practice.
Carrying out the TAWHEED (MONOTHEISM/ ONENESS OF ALLAH) demonstrates that the Muslim is putting their faith first, and not just trying to fit it in their secular lives.
